Eretria, A Beautiful Place Close To Athens

Eretria, one of the most important cities-states in antiquity, is an important seaside resort in the prefecture of Evia, founded in 1824 after the destruction of Psara and has 4,166 inhabitants according to the 2011 census.. Hence its first name which was Nea Psara and was given by the survivors of Psara who settled in its territories.

The current town, which has important companies around the sectors of accommodation, catering and entertainment, is connected to Attica via the ferry line Eretria - Oropos but also through the road network Eretria - Chalkida - Athens.
